This handmade mala necklace will make a wonderful accompaniment to any yogis or spiritual practices. It will also make a unique item of jewellery to anyone interested in the benefits of crystals and healing. The long mala could be worn as a necklace, or wrapped several times around the wrist to make a bracelet. Practice with your mala daily, weekly, monthly or whenever you feel that your body & mind are in need of clarity, peace and an escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy world!

Chakras are energy centres in our body in which energy flows through in balance with each other. An unbalanced energy field may cause a blockage in the flow of energy. Different colours are related to each chakra, and therefore you can adapt stones to the chakra according to the colour of the crystal to help with each energy point.

108
This necklace has been made with space so the 108 beads can be counted. The number 108 is considered a sacred number in Hinduism, Buddhism and yogic tradition. Malas or Japa beads come in a string of 108 and are used for devotional meditation, mantra and prayer. With each bead a mantra or prayer is repeated to meet a total of 108. The Meru bead is the larger bead or tassel on the mala and is not part of the 108. This is the guiding bead and marks the beginning and end of the mala/chant/prayer/mantra.

DZI TIBETAN AGATE
(SPIRITUALITY - Protection, Purification, Spirituality)
Chakra: Crown

It has a stabilizing effect on the body, cleansing at the physical and emotional level.Tibetan Agate is also known as Tibetan Dzi agate. In Tibetan, this word can simply be translated to bring good meanings of “splendour, brightness and shine”.

GREEN AVENTURINE
(LOVE - Prosperity, Stability, Longevity)
Chakra: Heart
Green Aventurine comforts, harmonises, protects the heart. It is said that it can be helpful to attract love, especially for those later in life. It is one of the premier stones to attract luck, abundance and success. It is often used in rituals with green candles, or kept in cash boxes or drawers to attract money. Green Aventurine has a particularly soothing energy behind it, and is recommended for working through unresolved emotional issues. Green Aventurine is a great piece to use when working with the Heart Chakra and/or the Water Elements.

ORBICULAR JASPER (guru bead)
(STABILITY - Healing, Grounding, Fearless)
Chakra: Root
Orbicular Jasper is a nurturing, protective stone, which can help encourage patience, release emotional blockages and rid us of pent-up anger. It is a stone of joy and renewed enthusiasm for the cycles of life, especially when worn or placed over the Heart chakra.

RUDRAKSHA
The 'Rudraksha' seed is produced from the Elaeocarpus ganitrus tree, believed to have healing powers. The name Rudraksha stems from Hindu mythology and means "the tears of Lord Shiva." The word rudraksha is derived from two words - rudra (रुद्र) and aksha (अक्ष). It is believed that when Shiva went into deep meditation on the well-being of all creatures, he emerged crying tears of compassion. When these tears fell upon the earth they took the form of seeds that grew into the Rudraksha tree. These trees are mostly found in the tropical and sub-tropical areas of Nepal and the Himalayan slopes, Indonesia and Malaysia. By wearing the mala against the skin, it is believed to increase the ability to concentrate, giving clarity and peace of mind, improve memory and relieve stress and anxiety.

AMMONITE (pendant)
Ammonite fossils are often colorful and very rich in Earth energy. Ammonites are an extinct group of marine invertebrate who sadly died out with the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. The shells have fossilised, and the organic matter has been replaced by quartz by a process that takes a several hundred years or more. These shells are an extremely strong Earth Energy conduit and are very grounding.
